Guilty Gear XX Λ Core

The third revision of Guilty Gear X2 adds new gameplay mechanics and special moves while re-designing the game's aesthetics.

Guilty Gear XX Λ Core (pronounced "Guilty Gear X2 Accent Core") is a 2D fighting game developed and released by Arc System Works for Japanese arcades on December 20, 2006. It was later published for the PlayStation 2 on September 11, 2007 and Wii on October 16, 2007 (both by Aksys in North America, by Arc System Works in Japan, and by 505 in Europe).

The game is the fourth iteration of Guilty Gear X2 (after the Japan-exclusive Guilty Gear XX Slash). In addition to balance changes, this version includes new special moves for most characters, a re-designed interface, and new gameplay mechanics (such as "Force Break", a special move that consumes a quarter of the Tension bar when used, and "Slashback", a form of parrying with reduced block stun). Some game modes (such as Story Mode) and characters (Justice and Kliff Undersn) were removed, only to be re-added in the fifth and final iteration (Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Plus).
